Recall 16V886000 · manufacturer campaign 16-067-IUS
Equipment Adaptive/mobility — Micro Bird · reported 9 Dec 2016 · 8 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Corp. Micro Bird Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 T-Series school buses manufactured August 24, 2015, to November 30, 2016. The affected vehicles have a battery-powered wheelchair lift with an interlock that can be deactivated by the operator, allowing the vehicle to be driven with the lift door open or while the lift platform is deployed.
The risk
Driving the bus with the lift platform deployed or with the door open can result in injury to those nearby or increase the risk of a crash.

Micro Bird will notify owners, and will provide a field modification to remedy this recall, free of charge. The recall began on January 18, 2017. Owners may contact Micro Bird customer service at 1-819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 16-067-IUS.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
