Recall 16V909000
Equipment › Other › Labels — C&m · reported 16 Dec 2016 · 2,605 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
C & M Trailers Inc. (C&M) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 76x16 Utility trailers manufactured April 1, 2015, to December 4, 2016. The tire placard on the affected vehicles my not have the tire and rim size information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification", and to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
The risk
Missing information on the tire placard may result in the tires being replaced with ones of an incorrect size, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
C&M will notify owners and will provide a corrected tire placard, free of charge. The recall began on February 21, 2017. Owners may contact C&M customer service at 1-972-875-4258.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
