Recall 17V108000

Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/trailer › Lpg Systems › Lines And Fittings — Winnebago · reported 20 Feb 2017 · 1,058 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Travato recreational vehicles. The liquid propane (LP) hose may contact the emergency brake cable, potentially damaging it and causing it to leak propane.

The risk

A propane leak can increase the risk of a fire or an explosion.

The fix

Winnebago will notify owners and dealers will inspect the vehicles, repositioning and securing the LP hose to avoid contact with the brake cable, free of charge. The recall began on March 6, 2017. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-800-537-1885.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
