Recall 17V238000 · manufacturer campaign RC000133

Equipment › Other › Labels — Thor · reported 10 Apr 2017 · 90 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2017 Palazzo 36.1 and 36.3 motorhomes. The Federal certification label on these vehicles indicates an incorrect front tire rim size. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

The risk

If the front rim is replaced based on the incorrect label information, it can cause an unsafe driving condition, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

TMC will notify owners and will provide corrected replacement labels, free of charge. The recall began on June 2, 2017. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-500-1020. TMC's number for this recall is RC000133.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
