Recall 17V303000
Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/trailer › Lpg Systems › Lines And Fittings — Kzrv · reported 4 May 2017 · 113 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
KZRV, L.P. (KZRV) is recalling certain 2018 Sport Trek and Durango travel trailers equipped with the outside kitchen option. The affected travel trailers may not have had the proper sealing tape installed on the propane gas line. Additionally, the gas line may not have been tested during production.
The risk
Due to either being untested, or improperly sealed, the propane line may leak, increasing the risk of a fire or explosion.
The fix
KZRV will notify owners, and dealers will seal the propane line and test the system for leaks, free of charge. The recall began on May 17, 2017. Owners may contact KZRV customer service at 1-800-768-4016 extension 153 or 154.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
