Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/trailer › Lpg Systems › Water Heater — Triple E Rv · reported 27 Jun 2017 · 35 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Triple E Recreational Vehicles (Triple E) is recalling certain 2017 Wonder motorhomes, model W24MB. When open, the door for the Truma water heater can block the furnace air intake and exhaust.

The risk

If the door is left open while the furnace is on, the water heater door may melt, increasing the risk of a fire.

The fix

Triple E will notify owners, and dealers will provide a decal with instructions to be installed on the water heater door, free of charge. Triple E issued interim notification to owners on September 13, 2017. The recall began on October 4, 2017. Owners may contact Triple E customer service at 1-877-992-9906. Triple E's number for this recall is CA #8690-1.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
