Recall 17V444000 · manufacturer campaign 17-293
Tires — Keystone · reported 14 Jul 2017 · 137 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Keystone Avalanche recreational trailers, model 370RD. The affected vehicles have an adjustment bolt for the kitchen slide-out that could contact the front tire.
The risk
If the bolt contacts the front tire, the tire may suddenly fail, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Keystone has notified owners, and dealers will replace the adjustment bolt with a shorter one, free of charge. The recall began on July 27, 2017. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 17-293.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
