Recall 17V498000

Steering › Hydraulic Power Assist › Hose, Piping, And Connections — Temsa · reported 10 Aug 2017 · 205 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Temsa Global Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. (Temsa) is recalling certain 2014-2018 TS45 coach buses. The hydraulic steering hose for the tag axle steering system may leak or burst during operation or service of the vehicle.

The risk

If the hose bursts during vehicle operation, a loss of vehicle control can occur, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, the leaking hydraulic fluid may contact hot engine components, increasing the risk of a fire.

The fix

Temsa will notify owners, and dealers will replace the tag axle's steering hydraulic hoses, free of charge. The recall began on September 21, 2017. Owners may contact Temsa's agent, CH Bus Sales, at 1-407-271-8935.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
