Recall 17V503000

Equipment — Kme · reported 14 Aug 2017 · 14 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Kovatch Mobile Equipment Corp. (KME) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Predator SS Aerial, and Predator Aerial vehicles. The software that controls the ladder rotation circuit may allow the ladder to rotate even after the rotation joystick is released.

The risk

Unintended rotation of the ladder can increase the risk of injury.

The fix

KME will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the ladder rotation software, free of charge. The recall began on October 3, 2017. Owners may contact KME customer service at 1-800-235-3926.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
