Fuel System, Gasoline › Delivery › Fuel Pump — Maserati · reported 29 Sep 2017 · 439 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Maserati North America, Inc. (Maserati) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Quattroporte GTS vehicles equipped with a V8 3.8 liter engine. A resistor in the low pressure fuel pump resistor may fail, causing a loss of engine power or a stall.

The risk

A stall can increase the risk of a crash.

The fix

Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump resistor cable assembly, free of charge. Interim notices informing owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed 11/28/2017. Owners will receive a second notice when the remedy is available. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737. Maserati's number for this recall is 359.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
