What's wrong
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling one 2018 Haulin' Cargo trailer. The labels on this vehicle may list incorrect tire pressure information. As such, the trailer fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims," and the trailer fails to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
The risk
The wrong tire pressure information may cause the tire to be underinflated, affecting vehicle handling, and increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Forest River will notify the owner, and a dealer will replace the affected labels, free of charge. The recall began on October 18, 2017. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-848-1335. Forest River's number for this recall is 24-0530.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
