Recall 17V643000 · manufacturer campaign 17-305

Suspension — Keystone · reported 12 Oct 2017 · 83 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2018 Carbon, Fuzion, and Raptor triple axle toy haulers. These vehicles may have an incorrectly welded suspension equalizer that can result in the suspension's failure while traveling.

The risk

If the suspension fails, the trailer's handling would be affected, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Keystone has notified owners, and dealers will replace the equalizer with a different one, free of charge. The recall began on October 20, 2017. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 17-305.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
