What's wrong

Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Xpeditor vehicles. These vehicles are equipped with an HVAC defrost door actuator system mechanism that may overheat due to inadequate circuit protection.

The risk

Overheating of the defrost actuator increases the risk of a fire.

The fix

Autocar will notify owners, and dealers will install an additional harness with a one amp fuse to the circuit, free of charge. The recall began on January 12, 2018. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACX-1704.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
