Structure › Frame And Members — Doepker · reported 5 Apr 2018 · 25 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Doepker Industries Ltd. (Doepker) is recalling certain 2015-2016 53' Tridem Galvanized Highboy Flatdeck Semi trailers. The lower rail main beam flanges may crack, possibly causing the load to shift and spill onto the road.

The risk

If the load shifts and spills onto the roadway, there is an increased risk of a crash.

The fix

Doepker will notify owners, and dealers will provide rental trailers, and replace the frames, free of charge. The recall began on May 1, 2018. Owners may contact Doepker customer service at 1-306-598-2171. Doepker's number for this recall is HG201801.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
