What's wrong
Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Freightliner Business Class M2 trucks built with air disk brakes and spring suspension. The rear disk brake calipers may have been mounted in an incorrect orientation allowing the caliper to contact the suspension, reducing brake effectiveness.
The risk
Reduced braking effectiveness can increase the risk of a crash.
The fix
DTNA will notify owners, and dealers will correct the orientation the rear brake calipers, free of charge. The recall began on June 14, 2018. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-767.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
