Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/trailer — Gulf Stream · reported 11 Oct 2018 · 605 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. (Gulf Stream) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Gulf Stream Conquest and B Touring Cruiser motorhomes. These vehicles have an auxiliary solar charging port circuit that is not fused.

The risk

If solar panels are connected and they exceed the amperage capacity of the circuit, the unprotected circuit can increase the risk of a fire.

The fix

Gulf Stream will notify owners, and dealers will install circuit protection, free of charge. The recall began November 15, 2018. Owners may contact Gulf Stream customer service at 1-800-482-6456, extension 5208. Gulf Stream's number for this recall is 10112018.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
