Recall 18V726000 · manufacturer campaign 18-333
Equipment › Electrical — Crossroads · reported 15 Oct 2018 · 60 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2019 Crossroads Cruiser and Volante fifth wheels equipped with Longitude awnings. These vehicles may be equipped with incorrect awning switches that do not prevent the awning motor from rolling out the awning while moving.
The risk
The awning unexpectedly unrolls while the vehicle is moving, it can increase the risk of injury.
The fix
Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will replace the existing awning switch for a switch with a dynamic brake function, free of charge. The recall began November 14, 2018. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 18-333.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
