Recall 18V829000 · manufacturer campaign CR4422

Electrical System › Software — Nova Bus · reported 26 Nov 2018 · 337 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Nova Bus (Nova) is recalling certain 2013-2018 Nova LFS Artic transit buses. A fault code in the engine may cause the vehicle to operate at zero velocity and lack of dampening reducing vehicle stability.

The risk

If there is a loss of vehicle stability, it can increase the risk of a crash.

The fix

Nova will notify owners, and dealers will update the Hubner ACU software, free of charge. The recall began December 6, 2018. Owners may contact Nova customer service at 1-800-350-6682. Nova's number for this recall is CR4422.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
