Recall 19V259000

Structure › Body › Roof And Pillars — Supreme · reported 29 Mar 2019 · 99 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Supreme Corporation (Supreme) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Service Body vehicles built on a Ford Transit chassis. The vehicles may lack the required padded trim that protects occupants from head impact. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 201, "Occupant Protection in Interior Impact."

The risk

In the event of a crash, there is an increased risk of injury, due to the missing padding.

The fix

Supreme will notify owners, and dealers will install padded trim, free of charge. The recall began June 20, 2019. Owners may contact Supreme customer service at 1-844-352-4921.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
