Recall 19V422000 · manufacturer campaign 19509
Wheels › Hub — International · reported 6 Jun 2019 · 209 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2020 International HV Severe Service Diesel Trucks. The steer axle hubs may be insufficiently lubricated or not lubricated at all, which may result in wheel bearing damage.
The risk
Lack of lubrication may result in a wheel separating from the front axle spindle, increasing the risk of crash.
The fix
Navistar has notified owners, and dealers will inspect the steer axle wheel hubs for the proper fluid level and repair any damaged components, free of charge. The recall began June 14, 2019. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 19509.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
