Recall 19V658000 · manufacturer campaign 801440
Structure — Hyundai Translead · reported 17 Sep 2019 · 47 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Hyundai Translead is recalling certain 2017-2018 Duralite HT Flatbed trailers with bulkheads. The brackets on the sill may break away from the flatbed, possibly resulting in the bulkhead detaching from the trailer.
The risk
If the bulkhead brackets fail, the bulkhead can fall off of the trailer and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Hyundai Translead will notify owners, and dealers will reinforce the front area of the flatbed, free of charge. The recall began September 24, 2019. Owners may contact Hyundai Translead customer service at 1-800-251-0871. Hyundai Translead's number for this recall is 801440.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
