What's wrong

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2020 Shasta Oasis SST30QB and SST31OK trailers. The trailers may have been built with an incorrect length axle hanger, allowing the axle to contact the chassis while moving.

The risk

If the axle hanger contacts the chassis, it can cause loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will replace the equalizers, free of charge. The recall began November 1, 2019. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-528-8717. Forest River's number for this recall is 53-1100.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
