Recall 20V059000

Exterior Lighting — Vac-tron · reported 31 Jan 2020 · 1,977 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Vac-Tron Equipment, LLC, (Vac-Tron) is recalling certain 2016-2020 LPSDT trailers. These vehicles may be missing various exterior lighting and reflective markings. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The risk

The lack of exterior lighting and reflective markings may reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers on the road, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Vac-Tron will notify owners and dealers will relocate the vehicle lights, and add reflectors and conspicuity tape, free of charge. The recall began March 31, 2020. Owners may contact Vac-Tron customer service at 1-352-782-2222.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
