Recall 20V147000

Seat Belts — Eldorado · reported 16 Mar 2020 · 667 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Eldorado National-Kansas is recalling certain 2017-2019 Ford World Trans E-series vehicles. The seat belt may not be properly secured to the side wall. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

The risk

If the seat belt is not properly secured in the event of a crash, the occupant will not be properly restrained, increasing their risk of injury.

The fix

Eldorado National-Kansas will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the occupant restraint upper securement L-track and repair it, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began May 12, 2020. Owners may contact Eldorado National-Kansas customer service at 1-800-955-4236.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
