What's wrong
Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2019-2020 TL80 and TL100 aerial devices. The rotation bearing bolts may loosen during unit use, causing them to fail.
The risk
If the rotation bearing bolts fail, the boom could fall, increasing the risk of injury or death.
The fix
Terex will notify owners, and dealers will install Field Service Kit Z1604 which includes replacement rotation bearing bolts, washers, pedestal reinforcement plates, and bolt spacers, free of charge. Owners are advised to perform a pre-shift inspection procedure until the repair is complete. The recall began November 24, 2020. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN687.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
