Recall 20V804000 · manufacturer campaign RC000208

Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/trailer — Thor Motor Coach · reported 21 Dec 2020 · 940 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Hurricane and Windsport motorhomes. The overhead cabinets located above the driver and front passenger seats may detach and fall onto the seat occupants, possibly causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.

The risk

A loss of vehicle control can increase the risk of a crash.

The fix

TMC will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the overhead cabinets, and reinstall them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began January 29, 2021. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000208.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
