Recall 21V352000

Fuel System, Diesel › Fuel Injection System › Fuel Rail — Gillig · reported 14 May 2021 · 4,428 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Gillig, LLC. (Gillig) is recalling certain 2017-2020 Low Floor vehicles. The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes, allowing the high pressure fuel rail assembly to leak.

The risk

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

The fix

Gillig will inspect the rail threads, and replace the rail as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 27, 2021. Owners may contact Gillig customer service at 1-510-264-5073 or 1-800-735-1500.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
