Fuel System, Diesel › Fuel Injection System › Fuel Rail — Spartan Fire · reported 2 Jul 2021 · 52 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Marion Body Works Inc. is recalling certain 2017-2020 Spartan Gladiator and MetroStar vehicles. The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot boreholes, allowing the high-pressure fuel rail assembly to leak.

The risk

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

The fix

Dealers will inspect the rail threads and fuel lines, and replace the rail as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 26, 2021. Owners may contact Marion Body Works' customer service at 1-715-754-5261. Marion Body Works' number for this recall is 21V-032.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
