Recall 21V575000 · manufacturer campaign 51-1389
Exterior Lighting › Tail Lights — Prime Time · reported 28 Jul 2021 · 29 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021 Prime Time Tracer TRT22RBS recreational trailers. The tail light is located too close to the water heater exhaust, which may cause the tail light to become distorted and fail.
The risk
A distorted or inoperative lens can reduce trailer visibility for other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Dealers will replace the tail light with a flush mount tail light, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 18, 2021. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1574-862-1025. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-1389.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
