Recall 21V588000 · manufacturer campaign B21012
Fuel System, Gasoline › Storage › Tank Assembly › Mounting — Wabash National · reported 30 Jul 2021 · 352 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Wabash National Corporation (Wabash) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Van Trailers. The fuel tank brackets may detach.
The risk
Detached fuel tank brackets could allow the fuel tank to separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
The fix
Dealers will add an aluminum plate and 4 fasteners to each bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 18, 2021. Owners may contact Wabash customer service at 1-765-771-5404. Wabash's number for this recall is B21012.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
