Recall 21V666000 · manufacturer campaign 21E047

Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/trailer — Escape · reported 26 Aug 2021 · 200 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Escape Trailer (Escape Trailer) is recalling certain 2019 E17A, E17B, E19, E21C, E21NE, and E5.0 recreational trailers. The adhesive that bonds the vented portion of the window may fail.

The risk

Adhesive failure may cause the vent portion of the window to detach, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

The fix

Dealers will inspect the windows, and replace the vent if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 6, 2021. Owners may contact Escape Trailer customer service at 1-604-703-1650.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
