Service Brakes, Hydraulic › Critical Fasteners — Husqvarna · reported 31 Aug 2021 · 342 vehicles potentially affected

⚠️ Do Not Drive advisory. NHTSA and the manufacturer advise owners of affected vehicles not to drive them until this recall is repaired.

What's wrong

Owners are advised to not ride their motorcycles until the repair has been performed. KTM North America, Inc. (KTM) is recalling certain 2022 Husqvarna FE 350s and Husqvarna FE 501s motorcycles. The brake pad retaining clips on the front brake caliper may have been mounted incorrectly, which could result in loose front brake pads.

The risk

Loose front brake pads can reduce braking performance, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

The fix

Dealers will inspect and repair the brake pad retaining clips, as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed October 1, 2021. Owners may contact KTM customer service at 1-888-985-6090. KTM's number for this recall is HTB2108.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
