Recall 21V849000

Electrical System › Wiring — Heartland · reported 1 Nov 2021 · 1,783 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC (Heartland) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Heartland Cyclone and 2019-2021 Road Warrior Toy Hauler recreational trailers. The transfer switch wire securement lugs may have been improperly tightened during production, causing the wires to come loose.

The risk

Loose wires can cause electrical arcing, increasing the risk of a fire.

The fix

Dealers will inspect and tighten the securement lugs, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 16, 2021. Owners may contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
