Recall 21V904000

Power Train › Axle Assembly — E-one · reported 19 Nov 2021 · 80 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

E-One Incorporated (E-One) is recalling certain 2022 Cyclone 2, Cyclone N, Typhoon, and Typhoon N vehicles. The rear axle drive pinion may fracture.

The risk

A fractured drive pinion may contact the brake drop hose and unintentionally engage the parking brake, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Meritor will inspect and replace the drive pinion, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on January 05, 2022. Owners may contact E-One customer service at 1-352-237-1122.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
