Recall 21V994000 · manufacturer campaign RC000156
Equipment › Other › Labels — Heartland · reported 20 Dec 2021 · 41 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Heartland Recreation Vehicles, LLC (Heartland) is recalling certain 2022 Sundance travel trailers. The Federal and Certification labels may indicate incorrect tire information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheel and Rims-Other Than Passenger Cars."
The risk
Incorrect tire information can allow for incorrect replacement tires, which can affect towing, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Heartland will mail replacement certification labels to owners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 9, 2022. Owners may contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032. Heartland's number for this recall is RC000156.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
