Recall 22V005000

Tires › Tread/belt — Lakota · reported 7 Jan 2022 · 100 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Lakota Corporation (Lakota) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Bighorn, Charger, and Livestock trailers equipped with certain Sailun tires, size ST235/80R16/G. Due to a manufacturing issue, the tires may experience a belt separation.

The risk

Belt separation could lead to loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 10, 2022. Owners may contact Lakota customer service at 1-574-848-1636.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
