Recall 22V018000 · manufacturer campaign TBD
Tires › Tread/belt — Heartland · reported 20 Jan 2022 · 2,363 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC (Heartland) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Cyclone, Fuel, Gravity, and Warrior vehicles equipped with certain Sailun tires, sizes ST235/80R16 and ST235/85R16. Due to a manufacturing issue, the tires may experience a belt separation.
The risk
Belt separation could lead to loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Dealers will inspect the tire DOT codes, and replace the tires as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 7, 2022. Owners may contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032 or Sailun customer service at 1-844-281-9696.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
