What's wrong

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2019-2021 ATTXX-M/P/S aerial devices. Bolts in the rotation bearing outer-race may have been over-tightened, allowing the bolts to break.

The risk

Broken bolts can cause separation of the pedestal and turntable, increasing the risk of injury.

The fix

Altec will replace the outer-race rotation bolts, free of charge. Owner notification were mailed on March 25, 2022. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 849.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
