Recall 22V092000 · manufacturer campaign 22503

Exterior Lighting › Back Up Lights — International · reported 17 Feb 2022 · 4,277 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2019 International LT and International RH vehicles. The LED backup lights are the incorrect color white. As such, these lights fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The risk

Incorrect color backup lights may decrease vehicle visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will inspect and replace the LED backup lights as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 1, 2022. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 22503.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
