Recall 22V128000 · manufacturer campaign M0360

Service Brakes, Air › Critical Fasteners — Hino · reported 4 Mar 2022 · 141 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Hino Motors Sales U.S.A., Inc. (Hino) is recalling certain 2022 NJ7A vehicles. The charge pipe flare nut attached to the air compressor may not have been tightened properly, resulting in low air pressure in the system.

The risk

Low air pressure may cause the parking brake to apply automatically, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will tighten the charge pipe flare nut, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 28, 2022. Owners may contact Hino's customer service at 1-248-699-9390. Hino's number for this recall is M0360.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
