What's wrong

Maintainer Corporation of Iowa, Inc. (Maintainer) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Maintainer crane equipped truck bodies with a Miller Enpak. The output inductor may contact the frame of the Enpak, causing an electric arc.

The risk

An electric arc increases the risk of a fire.

The fix

Dealers will install a new cross bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 21, 2022. Owners may contact Maintainer's customer service at 1-800-831-8588.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
