What's wrong

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2016-2021 AT and TA aerial devices. The chassis fuel line clamps may not have been secured properly after they were removed to install an aftermarket accessory.

The risk

Unsecured fuel lines may become damaged and leak fuel, increasing the risk of a fire.

The fix

Altec will provide work instructions and a kit to properly secure the fuel line, and repair any damaged fuel line if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 6, 2022. Owners may contact Altec's customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 855.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
