Recall 22V179000 · manufacturer campaign SP22-301A

Electrical System — Prevost · reported 24 Mar 2022 · 140 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2021-2022 X3-45 Com coach buses. A nut located on the rear junction box may have been improperly tightened, causing a cable to loosen.

The risk

A loose junction box cable may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

The fix

Prevost will properly tighten the cables on the rear junction box, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on May 20, 2022. Owners may contact Prevost's customer service at 1-866-870-2046.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
