Recall 22V265000 · manufacturer campaign 501

Exterior Lighting › Brake Lights — Maserati · reported 19 Apr 2022 · 56 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Maserati North America, Inc. (Maserati) is recalling certain 2022 MC20 vehicles. The brake lights may malfunction by unintentionally flickering due to faulty rear tail lights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The risk

Flickering brake lights may confuse other drivers, which can increase the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will inspect and replace the tail lights, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 3, 2022. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737. Maserati's number for this recall is 501.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
