Recall 22V419000

Structure › Body — Kentucky Trailer · reported 13 Jun 2022 · 2,944 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Kentucky Trailer Manufacturing (KTM) is recalling certain 2014-2021 Kentucky Trailer MV and PV vehicles. The walk board rack mounting bolts may loosen, allowing the rack to separate from the vehicle.

The risk

The walk board may fall while in use, increasing the risk of injury.

The fix

KTM will install new washers, bolts, and locking nuts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 25, 2022. Owners may contact KTM's customer service at 1-502-637-2551.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
