Recall 22V455000 · manufacturer campaign 22C14

Exterior Lighting › Lighting Control Module › Software — Lincoln · reported 24 Jun 2022 · 965 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022 Lincoln Navigator vehicles. The headlight control module software may cause the side marker and daytime running lights to fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The risk

A loss of exterior lighting can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will update the headlight control module software and recalibrate the headlights, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 13, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22C14.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
