Recall 22V469000 · manufacturer campaign CSN 3008

Electrical System — Altec · reported 30 Jun 2022 · 430 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2016-2022 van mounted AT200A and AT30G vehicles. The ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) outlet may not provide adequate circuit protection against an electrical overload condition.

The risk

An overloaded electrical circuit can increase the risk of a fire.

The fix

Altec will install a new GFCI outlet with a circuit-breaker and new wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 29, 2022. Owners may contact Altec's customer service at 205-991-7733. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 3008.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
