Recall 22V487000 · manufacturer campaign 51-1533
Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/trailer › Lpg Systems — Coachmen, Dynamax · reported 8 Jul 2022 · 172 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Dynamax Isata Class 3 and Class 5 motorhomes, 2021 Coachmen Sportscoach, 2020 Coachmen Pursuit, and 2017, 2020-2021 Coachmen Freelander motorhomes. The service valves on the LPG tanks may be improperly connected, which can cause a propane leak.
The risk
A propane leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
The fix
Dealers will inspect and replace the service valves, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 2, 2022. Owner may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-262-3474 (Dynamax), 1-574-825-8212 (Sportscoach and Pursuit), and 1-574-825-8602 (Freelander). Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
