What's wrong

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2020 GLC350E4 vehicles. The transmission wiring harness may be routed improperly, allowing it to chafe against the front drive shaft, which can cause loss of drive power.

The risk

A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will inspect and replace the transmission wiring harness, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 26, 2022. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2022080001.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
