Recall 22V568000 · manufacturer campaign WAY-103
Exterior Lighting — Tiffin · reported 3 Aug 2022 · 10 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2022 Midas motorhomes. The center marker light was not installed, which could limit visibility to other drivers. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."
The risk
A missing marker light can reduce vehicle visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Dealers will relocate the back up camera and install a center marker light, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 22, 2022. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin's number for this recall is TIF-125.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
